| Over the years on Radio, has met and recorded many interviews (mostly live) for his radio shows. Some of the celebrities interviewed were from the world of Entertainment - The Beatles, Cilla Black, Sir Cliff Richard (who also recorded some special jingles for the show), David Bowie, Boy George (a charming person, really nice interview), Billy J Kramer (a really nice person), Stevie Wonder (who also recorded some special jingles for the show), David Cassidy, Sheila Fergason (The Three Degrees), Dame Shirley Bassey, Billy Idol (we went for a ride in my car after the interview and he kept leaning out of the window and soaking people with his water pistol!), Suzi Quatro (we had an argument as soon as she arrived - it was never broadcast), Bros, Gary Glitter (I found him very easy going and was a pleasure to interview several times), The Glitterband, David Soul, Mud, Leif Garrett, Hot Chocolate, James & Bobby Purify (I couldn't understand a thing they said...too many blue smarties!), Midge Ure, Barry Blue, Child, Linda Lewis, Screaming Lord Sutch, Roger Whittaker (very boring and I lost the will to live after a few minutes!), Bucks Fizz (gave me a list of questions not to ask - not enjoyable at all and was never broadcast - Mike Nolan refused to speak), Carol Jiani (a wonderful lady - great fun), Jackie Rawe, Kavana. Actors:- Lewis Collins (Bodie in The Professionals), Martin Shaw (Doyle in The Professionals & currently Inspector George Gently) Jimmy Edwards (interviewed on the same day as a scandal was printed about him on the front page of the News Of The World and appreciated me not mentioning it), David Suchet MBE (Currently Agatha Christie's ' Inspector Poirot'), Bernard Bresslaw (various 'Carry On' Films'), Adam Rickitt (what a flirt - but great fun to interview), Frazer Hines (Emmerdale & Dr Who), Paul Nicholls (EastEnders). Comedians - Kenn Dodd (took over the show for 2 hours and I could hardly get a word in...great fun though), Michael Barrymore (another charming and funny man), Dickie Henderson, Tom O'Connor, Little & Large (corney and went in to their stage routine so not one of the best), Celebrities - Boxer Sir Henry Cooper MBE (great guest), Writer Jackie Collins (wonderful studio guest who sent me a Xmas card from Hollywood many months later), Sir Jimmy Saville, Jeremy Beadle, Angela Rippon, Tony Blackburn, Emperor Rosko, Regimental Sergeant Major Britain (The man with the loudest voice in the UK) plus several Politicians. | |||||||
